Required code
Adikteev's spec for external creatives asks for a main tag that defines two placeholder variables, then loads your script and styles. Adikteev replaces the placeholders with the real click URL and click pixel at serve time:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
<script type="application/javascript">
var AK_CLICK_DESTINATION_URL = "PLACEHOLDER_CLICK_REDIRECT";
var AK_CLICK_PIXEL_URL = "PLACEHOLDER_CLICK_PIXEL";
</script>
<div id="ad"></div>
<script type="application/javascript" src="creative.js"></script>
In creative.js, ping the pixel and open the destination when the user taps:
installButton.addEventListener("click", function () {
new Image().src = AK_CLICK_PIXEL_URL; // pinged, not opened
mraid.open(AK_CLICK_DESTINATION_URL);
});
How playables work at Adikteev
Adikteev runs retargeting campaigns: ads that bring lapsed users back into an app they already have, not install campaigns. Its creative studio usually builds the playables and interactive units from assets you send (PSDs, PNGs, video, fonts, sprite sheets). That's why there's no public playable spec: the format details are agreed with your Adikteev client partner.
If you're supplying your own playable, build it to the external-creatives rules above and confirm the file size, orientation and sound expectations with your client partner before you start. A playable built for an MRAID network like AppLovin or Unity is the closest starting point. Swap the CTA for the AK_ variables and split out the JS and CSS.
Retargeting playables usually show the game's later content, such as new levels, events and rewards, rather than the first-time tutorial an install playable would.
Common questions
Does Adikteev publish playable ad specs?
No. Adikteev publishes rules for external rich media creatives but no playable spec sheet. Its in-house studio builds most creatives, and file size, sound and duration details come from your Adikteev client partner.
What is the click call for Adikteev creatives?
mraid.open(AK_CLICK_DESTINATION_URL), plus a ping to AK_CLICK_PIXEL_URL. Both variables are placeholders in the main tag that Adikteev fills in at serve time.
Do Adikteev creatives use MRAID?
Yes. Adikteev runs mobile rich media formats compatible with MRAID 1, and clicks go through mraid.open.
Can an Adikteev creative be a single HTML file?
Adikteev asks for an HTML snippet as the main tag, not a full HTML document, with JS and CSS provided as separate files that it hosts on its CDN.
