Who we are

Bolt Playables ("Bolt", "we", "us") is a sole proprietorship based in the State of Georgia, USA, that builds playable ads for businesses. This policy covers boltplayables.com, the client portal and the emails we send from them. For anything about your information, email [email protected].

What we collect

When you create an account

  • Your name, work email and, if you give it, your company name.
  • Your password, stored only as a one-way hash. We can't read it.
  • A profile photo and job title, if you add them.
  • Which organization you belong to, and the teammates you invite (their email addresses).
  • When you sign in. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in (see Cookies below).

When you work with us in the portal

  • Project details: briefs, store or landing page links, files and assets you upload or link, messages, feedback and approvals.
  • Quotes, invoices, PO numbers and billing email addresses.
  • Agreements: when your company accepts our Terms or signs an NDA, we record who accepted or signed (name, title, email), when, their IP address and browser, and a copy of the exact text. This is the evidence that the agreement was made.

When you pay

Invoices are paid through Stripe. Card and bank details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them. We keep the Stripe customer reference and the status of each invoice.

When you use the contact form

Your name, email, company and your message. It's emailed to our team and isn't stored on the site; we keep the email like any other correspondence.

When you join the playable.ad waitlist

Your email address, held by our newsletter provider, Kit, so we can tell you when it launches. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

When you visit the site

  • We count visits with our own custom analytics, which give us totals like page views and referrers. We don't use them to build profiles of individual visitors.
  • We advertise the site on Google. Our public pages load the Google Ads tag, which tells Google when someone who clicked one of our ads visits or creates an account, so we can see which ads work. Google may set cookies to do this and handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. The portal doesn't load it.
  • Our server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) for security and troubleshooting, and uses IP addresses briefly to rate-limit sign-in attempts.

How we use it

  • To run your account and projects: quoting, building, delivering and talking to you about your work.
  • To send you emails you need: sign-in and password emails, invites, project updates, invoices and reminders.
  • To bill you and keep the records the law requires.
  • To keep the portal secure and prevent abuse.
  • To keep a record of the agreements between us.

We don't sell or rent personal information, share your account or project information for advertising, or use your project materials for anything except your project. We won't show your work publicly without your written permission.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job listed:

  • Stripe: invoices and payments.
  • Cloudflare (R2): storing the files uploaded to the portal and the builds we deliver.
  • Resend: sending the portal's emails and contact form messages.
  • Kit: the playable.ad waitlist.
  • Google (Google Ads): measuring our ads on the public site.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the server the site and portal live on.

Inside your organization, everyone on your team in the portal can see your organization's projects, messages, agreements and invoices. If you share a project's preview link, anyone with that link can play that preview; it shows the playable and the project name and nothing else.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer if the business is sold, who would be bound by this policy.

Cookies

The portal sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It's needed for the portal to work, isn't used for tracking, and is deleted when you sign out or it expires. The portal also remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser. On the public pages, the Google Ads tag may set Google's advertising cookies to measure our ads (see When you visit the site above). You can block or delete them in your browser settings without affecting the site.

How long we keep it

  • Account and project information: while your account is active, and for a reasonable time after so we can support past work.
  • Signed agreements, invoices and payment records: as long as we need them for legal, tax and accounting purposes, usually at least seven years.
  • Server logs: a short time, then they're deleted.
  • Waitlist email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can update your name, photo, job title, email, company and password in the portal. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or have it deleted, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days. Some records, such as signed agreements and invoices, may have to be kept even after a deletion request; if so, we'll tell you which and why.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict how we use your information or to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we'll help.

Security

The site and portal are served over HTTPS only. Passwords are hashed, sign-in links and codes expire, files are kept in private storage, and only Bolt's own team can see client information. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we'll tell you promptly.

Where it's stored

We're based in the United States, and our providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. By using the site and portal, you understand your information will be handled there.

Children

Bolt Playables works with businesses. The site and portal aren't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell clients in the portal or by email before it takes effect.
